One of our most common questions is do we install? 
 Answer: Our product is designed for you to do it yourself to save you money.  While a total frame replacement can cost up to $2000 this product gives you a simple  solution for a fraction of the cost.  We have provided you with videos and printable instructions to install these products on your own.  Anyone with basic construction skills can do this.  If you are not tool savvy call you local door company and ask if they carry our products.

Jamb Anchor FAQs

Does the Jamb Anchor work on all sizes of door jambs?

The Jamb Anchor is designed to work best on rectangular door frames that measure either 1-3/4" x 4-1/2" or 2" x 4-1/2". It can be adjusted in the field to accommodate both sizes. For more information about sizing please refer to the product specifications.

Can the Jamb Anchor be used to repair jambs made from materials other than aluminum?

The Jamb Anchor is compatible with jambs made from a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, and other metals. Contact us for more information about compatible materials.

How long will the Jamb Anchor extend the life of my door frame?


The Jamb Anchor is manufactured with e-coated cold rolled steel and should extend the repaired portion of the frame's life for many years.

Does Jamb Anchor installation require a skilled door technician?

No specialty training is needed to install the Jamb Anchor. It is designed to be installed by anyone with basic mechanical skills. A skilled door technician is not required.

How long does it take to install a Jamb Anchor?

The Jamb Anchor is designed as a do-it-yourself installation. Depending on experience with the required tools and techniques, the installation time for one kit typically runs from 30 to 60 minutes.

Will there be other versions of the Jamb Anchor available in the future?

We are currently developing variations of the Jamb Anchor that will allow for the repair of other door jamb sizes.

Jamb Patch FAQs

Will the Jamb Patch work on any manufacturers' steel door frame?

Currently, the Jamb Patch fits standard masonry door frames. For more details and dimensions, please refer to the product dimensions section of the product specifications.

Can the Jamb Patch be used to repair a fire rated frame?

Most frames that are susceptible to rust are located in an exterior opening of a building, and most exterior frames do not require or carry a fire rating. The Jamb Patch does not carry a fire-rating label. If the repair applies to a fire rated frame, the authority with local jurisdiction, such as the fire marshal, must be consulted prior to proceeding.

Can the Jamb Patch be used to repair frames in geographic areas where hurricane building codes apply?

Before proceeding with the repair, we suggest consulting your local building inspector.

How long will the Jamb Patch extend the life of my steel door frame?


The Jamb Patch is made from galvanealed steel and typically extends the of life for the repaired portion of the frame for many years.

Does Jamb Patch installation require a skilled door technician?

The Jamb Patch can be installed by anyone with basic mechanical skills. A skilled door technician is not required.

How long does it take to install a Jamb Patch?

The installation time for one Jamb Patch usually takes anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes. Both sides of a frame can typically be repaired in less than three hours.

Will there be other versions of the Jamb Patch available in the future?

We are currently developing variations of the Jamb Patch product that would allow for the repair of other portions of the frame, for example, repair of the strike area or the header in the case where it was not originally reinforced for a closer.
